Plath as Influence: Writing workshop exploring experimental techniques that use Sylvia Plath as an influence as well as a source text. We will read and analyse works by other poets who have used Plath as an influence or source, and use those techniques to craft our own poems.

“Cathleen Allyn Conway has built some of these striking poems from well-researched quotes that Ted Hughes deleted from Sylvia Plath’s journals prior to their initial publication. That in itself is a service to poetry and truth. And how Conway has ‘remixed’ them with her own work is powerful indeed.” – Robin Morgan, author of MONSTER
