Andrew Neilson is a Scottish poet and essayist. His poetry has appeared in magazines such as The Dark Horse, Modern Poetry in Translation, New Writing Scotland, Magma, and Poetry Birmingham. He co-edits the digital poetry journal, Bad Lilies, with Kathryn Gray, and is a trustee of The Poetry Society.
Kathryn Gray and Andrew Nelson conceived the digital poetry journal Bad Lilies during last year’s winter lockdown, with an aim to showcase the finest new poetry in English, ranging in technique and subject matter. Since its launch in April 2021, the journal has featured major voices and striking emergent talent from the UK, the US, and beyond, and is rapidly developing in popularity and reach.
In this special event, the editors will be joined by recent contributors to Bad Lilies for readings and some lively discussion on the possibilities, delights, occasional trials, and growing significance of digital journals.
